Adderall

So here's a middle school.

I'm already on Adderall.

and chopped up fine Adderall is the hell of a drug.

Yeah.

... which, which also mostly meant that, um, you had like bipolar and then were addicted to meth.

So I was just thrown in these groups with these people when like the main things I did were like weed and Adderall.

Like, and I will say, like, you know-

But I mean, and drinking

... weed and Adderall and drinking.

Just like drinking socially, but like it was never like to excess.

Well, I've taken ecstasy before.

I did try Adderall.

I didn't like that, though.

Yeah.

I've never been angry.

It makes

you too hyper? No, Adderall's the worst hangover.

Also, it's the worst hangover.

And she's also so thin.

I just like, I can see her being an Adderall girl.

Oh, yeah.

Is that problematic to say? [laughs]

[laughs] I was like, "I think, like, Ritalin's, like, not even a thing anymore." And someone commented in our Spotify like, "Actually, Ritalin is very much still a thing, and it's really dangerous/unhelpful to be talking about medication," blah, blah, blah.

And I'm like, "I'm-"

Is Ritalin, Ritalin's just Adderall, right?

Yeah.

Like, it's everywhere, especially the ADHD stuff.

I was doing some research when I was looking into the GLP-1 episode, 'cause I was thinking at one time about connecting GLP-1s to Adderall in like a, like, as a more meaningful tangent.

And yeah, there's, like, a lot of evidence, or a lot of, like, clinical papers on, like, we are over-diagnosing adults, like, way too much.

Like, people who are ADHD, the vast majority of them were ADHD as children, and, like, maybe they didn't get a diagnosis as children, but they were still experiencing, like, pretty meaningful symptoms at that point.

And you see it all the time, especially with addicts.

You know, I would tell people I was clean all the time while I was on 150 plus milligrams of Adderall, you know? So I get it.

And you're, you're, he's in denial.

Like he's just lying to everyone.

And so we see those characteristics commonly.

And then when we start looking at patients with certain medical profiles, you see the patient who may have some ADHD, who's now on something like Va- Vyvanse or Adderall or Strattera, and those medications, of course, are wonderful for focus and concentration, but what do they do? They put people into fight or flight.

They rev up their sympathetic nervous systems.

So we see a whole host of that.

It's gonna be micro.
