Okay, so as we start today in these chapters, I want you to picture an eight-year-old boy that becomes king of a nation that has been worshiping idols for two generations.

His workers are cleaning out a neglected and a trashed temple, and they find a box of scripture that nobody even knew was missing.

And so today we're going to talk about how kings collapse, and we're going to talk about one woman whose one line of what she says changed the whole nation.

And in last week's chapters, we talked about Elisha's ministry to the north and And this week, we're going to talk about how the north finally falls.

And this is the reason that we talk about the gathering of Israel, which is the most important work on earth today.

I'm going to just recap the kings really quick, so we just kind of have an idea.

He sets the tone for chapter 16, and he makes alliances instead of trusting God.

And here's just kind of some bullet points about King Hezekiah so we remember what's going on.
