Ep. 119: The Warehouse troubles (ft. Julian Baron)

I would say the bright spot this past week, it ended up being a low spot, but was Frederick making the, I guess we'll call it semifinals.

I don't know what they call it exactly in Frederick.

They showed out in that seven to five loss.

I was there.

I was not mad that they lost.

I thought compared to an Orioles loss, they fought in that game and they showed that they could play the game.

Sucks that they lost the next two after they won 13 to one the first game, but great to see that.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Opinions on that.

Yeah, I mean, look, it's always exciting to see the Orioles doing things in the minor leagues.

But I think that, you know, for a lot of this fan base, there's become kind of a fatigue on that front.

We saw a lot of the guys that are currently on the major league roster do a lot of great things in Bowie and Norfolk and I guess at the time Aberdeen, right? Like this is not a...

This is not a new phenomenon.

And I don't want to say, you know, it's so easy to become like overly negative.

And I'm not trying to write off the accomplishments of the guys at Frederick.

Like, it's great.

But I think that this is not where this fan base expected to be in 2026.

I don't think this fan base expected to be, you know, it's September 13th and we're having a conversation about how great things are.

Right.

Like that wasn't.

Yeah,

that's not where we want to be.

It is disappointing.

I will say, and I saw a post about this, so I will mention it, but like, Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman, Jackson Holiday, right? Those are your, whatever, top picks.
