Um, so today is not a Vinyl Friday episode, even though this is Friday.

It's coming out on Friday, and we are going to listen to vinyl on today's episode.

What is today's episode all about, AP Lindsay?

It's our first ever listening party.

First ever listening party.

Party? I'm not sure about the word party because that's what kind of threw me.

We've never done this before.

And as always, if we're having a party, it's like, did I do it right? Am I doing enough? Could have I have done it differently? Did the guests have a good time? You know, a lot of these things are running through my mind.

It's because it's our first time.

I don't know.

Maybe we did.

You decide.

We've never done it before.

So, like I said, we are going to be listening to vinyl and not just any vinyl, but we have guests coming in in just a moment.

Eric and Eric from the League of Erics.

And we're going to be listening to their vinyl, their new record, in fact, called All Kinds of Trouble out on Cavetone Records.

You've heard us talk about Cave Tone, the record label run by our friends, everybody's friends, the ex-bombers, Kitty and Nancy, and the League of Erics have joined the roster, the Cave Tone family, if you will.

I don't want to give too much away, but before they came in, I was thinking if we were going to do a Vinyl Friday episode where we listen to a lot of different bands, that's why this is going to be a regular Blue Island Radio podcast episode because we are going to be listening to vinyl.

But we're going to be talking to them like a real, you know, we're going to learn about, we're going to go through, talk about track by track, basically, and kind of learn about their process and their influences, inspirations, how they write songs together individually, blah, blah, blah.

You know how, you know, things that go into making a record and writing songs, their inspirations and all that.

Yeah.

Oh, yeah, they're going to be celebrating also officially.

Besides, we're going to hear the record.

You are going to hear, you listeners, dear listeners, are going to be hearing the record before it officially comes out.

But the official record release will be happening at Bernice's Tavern.

In Chicago.

On the 26th.

Saturday the 26th.

Bernice's Tavern.

That's 2338 South Halstead in Chicago.

And joining them that day will be Black Magic.

The Black Magic Marching Band.

And Chicken Wing.

And Anne.

A-N-N-E. Anne.

I would like to see Bernice's throw on a party like we had at our house.

Because we did all the things we normally do.

We cleaned the bathroom.

Yes.

We bought some beer and we did not provide snacks.

That's right.

I don't know if Bernices have snacks, but guess what? Neither do we.

I bet you our bathroom was cleaner.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Maybe.

I've never been to the Bernice.

Well, that's not true.

It's been a long time.

Don't remember.

I'm just saying.

I think we put on a good party.

I thought it was all right for our first listening party.

Again, I don't know.

We did party game.

We did do a party game.

That's right.

So stay tuned for the end where Eric and Eric go head to head in a game of song burst for a major award or prize that one of them gets to take home.

And yeah, so like I said, we're going to listen to side A. We're going to bring them in and talk.

I didn't know how to start it because we started talking and we just started grooving with the talk.

I was like, well, let's just keep the momentum going and keep talking.

But somewhere in between all that talking, you're going to hear side A.

And then we'll talk about, you know, all the different, those songs.

And then, of course, side B of the League of Eric's new album, All Kinds of Trouble.

It was really terrific.
