More and more people are moving back towards physical media in order to more fully enjoy what they're consuming, and have more ownership over that media itself.

Vinyl record sales have boomed over the past two decades, but VHS tapes are also making a comeback.

Retro video games are being sought after by collectors, and even the cassette tape has grown in popularity.

What you're hearing is the brilliance of Stevie Wonder on a TDK cassette.

People are sort of sharing the vinyls out, they're listening.

Sometimes I fill in the radio in the morning and there's a segment that they're doing, the Vinnie and Kate show, the Vinyl Countdown, and you play a vinyl.

to end the show on a Tuesday.

And it's one of my favorite parts of the show.

But that's it.

But there is a huge physical media movement at the minute, not just vinyl.

Vinyl's been on the rise, I think, for quite a while now, probably a decade or so, if not longer.

But all other forms, like CDs and stuff, cassettes, The amount of young people that are into collecting those now.

16.3 million of them alone in the United States.

It's even outpacing vinyl.

Vinyl only went up 2.4%.

So why? They say one key reason for the CD surge is Korean pop.

Now, why would you need the physical CD for that? I don't know.

Bad Brains is awesome.

Taylor just said Vinyl was a great show.

Yeah, it really was.

And fascinatingly, Andrew Dice Clay was incredible on that show.

My only dream was to have one of my songs on WAX.

But just to release some stuff, we went to a studio, recorded on tape, and everything for me was just checking all the bucks that I wanted to achieve.
