Meeting the team at Channel [V], they all looked cool.

So after a year or so I took the step to do CDs.

which made it grow financially.

Although the investment was bigger, the turnaround was much, much bigger because the digital market wasn't ready yet.

But, you know, it was really obvious to me that these are composers that deserve to be heard by more people.

Yeah, and if we look at the market itself, so we started digitally and in the beginning there was only iTunes, then there came CDs.

But if we go now 20 years later, CD almost disappeared and it's almost now full digital and only digital release that nowadays happened.

Sign of the times.

I mean, those CDs were, like, $18 back then, and the minimum wage was, like, four bucks.

So...

Unless you were doing, like, the Columbia, you know, clearinghouse 99, or 10 CDs for $9.99 shit, or whatever the fuck it was.

It was, like, penny CDs, and then, like, you know, you'd sign up for it, and your parents would kill you because, yeah, they were ironing the kinks out of the whole scam subscription economy back then, but goddammit, they figured it out.

Oh, there is one note that I made which I found...

It was actually rather refreshing.

but they, you know, they definitely had a good punk and hardcore section, metal section.

Um, I remember buying my first CD there when CDs were the, the, the new thing, uh, it was actually bad brains eye against eye.

I just wanted, you know, I, I heard that, that, you know, that transferred a CD, that record sounded so good.

And, and it did.

I mean, that, that's, that's where we were at that point in time.

A lot of things were on CDs.

And y'all made it out of Manhattan, but a lot of people were wanting to talk to you.

Well, most of the communications in that New York area, of course, went down with the tower, all the, the antennas and all that were on top of that building.

I'm just getting organized.

I got tons of shirts and posters, CDs and tapes.
