Bills Win Their "Grand" Opener on TNF

Yeah.

And you know, The game against the Lions, to me, was...

There's just a lot to take away from it.

One, it was the stadium opener and what an environment.

That stadium looks great.

The red end zones look great.

We're certainly going to talk about that game.

But I think as that game, even before it started, you're just reminded of how cruel the NFL can be where... 90 minutes, 92 minutes before the game kicks off at Oliver, it's announced that he injured himself in warmups and he's going to be out.

And then the bills are humming on offense.

And then DJ Moore goes down with what looks like a very serious injury.

And it sounds like in both cases, the bills avoided bad scenarios and maybe they'll miss this next week, but it's, it's certainly not going to be anything that lingers more than a couple of weeks max for both guys.

But then as you watch football today, Luca, uh, the bears were team that came in with as much hype as anybody put up fifty nine points in the opener and now they've lost their starting quarterback for to a very massively bad hamstring injury.

And I'm seeing doctors on Twitter say that it's the kind of injury that could, could cost him his entire season.

And the 49ers are losing players left and right, despite blowing teams out of the water.

And it really is such a war of attrition.

And it's why as bills fans, as we've been on this amazing ride of seeing the bills, make it to at least the second round of the playoffs every year, since 2020, the only team in the sport that, to make it to at least the second round of the playoffs every year since 2020.

It's just...

It's hard for us to get too excited about an amazing game that happened in Week 2 because there's so many things that can happen along the way.

I think back to the year that the DeMar Hamlin situation came up.

I was at the game in Detroit when Von Miller tears his ACL.

Excuse me.

And it just...

it felt like once that news came out a couple of days later that, Oh, well, we had a super bowl team and now we just lost our best pass rusher.

And then obviously the DeMar Hamlin thing, I think just took all the, all the starch out of that team, but it's about survival.

It's, it's one reason why I think Brandon Bean is very underrated as a GM.
