Dalton Kincaid

In my snake drafts, I was getting him as a double-digit round pick.

The guy that I have more of than any other player in fantasy football this year is freaking Dalton Kincaid.

What could go wrong, right? The logic behind Kincaid is really just math driven.

He had an elite yards per route run rate last year that's only been hit six other times since twenty eleven.

It was a later round pick.

It was low cost in my auctions.

So yeah, crazy enough, it's Dalton Kincaid.

That wasn't quite the case in best ball this year, but it's definitely the case in my managed leagues.

The two sits, Dalton Kincaid, Jake Ferguson.

C- I, y- why are we sitting Kincaid? Um, I feel like this is a good spot for him.

Yeah, it is a really good spot for him.

Will he have occasional missteps here and there? Sure.

But in totality, y- like as good as the Texas defense is, and as...

And they might take away DJ Moore completely, somebody has to produce for Josh Allen, and I think it's gonna be Dalton Kincaid.

When you look at matchup specific metrics, the disguise coverages, zone, two high, split out wide versus slot, nickel, single high.

Trey McBride is, like, right here in the same vicinity.

Um, better than, you know, LaPorta, Warren, uh, Dalton Kincaid, other really good receiving prospects from recent years.

That's where you find Michael Mayer.

Um, and so if you do look at games, we have a, an okay sample size, not, not a big one, but a little bit.

Um, I think Schultz is just underrated.

So I do have Schultz at tight end 13.

I have Dalton Kincaid ahead of him in this same game, Buffalo-Houston.

Um, and that is probably wrong.

I know there's been a lot of hype around him the last couple of weeks, um, as far as the draft front goes.

But dude, I mean, you're just gonna convince me that Dallas Goe- or that Dalton Kincaid's gonna come out here and just, and just what? Forget that he forgot how to play football? I'm, I'm not there yet.

It's a b- it's a tough, it's a tough matchup in week one, um, playing against Houston, these athletic linebackers, this defensive backfield, Jalen Pitre and stuff.

So I'm gonna go ahead and fade Dalton Kincaid in week one.

I am starting in a league, uh, Juan Johnson over Dalton Kincaid, so I completely back you up on that.

And my sit of the week is Kyle Pitts.

Mm.

So if we're not playing Pitts, okay, we're saying no to Pitts.

Yeah.

Player to exploit, you moved it over to Dalton Kincaid.

Yeah, yeah.

Um, and that was, I believe, I was gonna talk about Nico.

Dalton Kin- Kincaid, so he's the matchup to exploit.

Maybe Shakir if you dig that deep, but I'm gonna go with Kincaid.

He was inside, uh, 51% of the time, and the schematics are really phenomenal here for, uh, Dalton Kincaid a- against this coverage that they run, the cover three.

Let's take a look here.

I've thought about this because there's different ways that they, that they can go on offense.

I believe Dalton Kincaid is going to be the key guy in this game, because if they can, if they can establish and get Dalton Kincaid run, you know, on a, on a roll.

Okay.

You get Dalton Kincaid on a roll.

And then what does that do for DJ Moore?

Right.

You never know.

If he gets past that offensive line, he's gone.

We didn't have DJ Moore, obviously.

Dalton Kincaid didn't play, and Keyon Coleman didn't play last year.

Now, I posted this out on social media, and people made fun of me saying, oh, you had to sneak Keyon in there.

Well, if you remember what Keyon did in his rookie year, he had a big game against the Texans.

But to me, show me that the defense is different, right, throughout the entire season.

Because we know that Josh Allen's going to help develop these guys on offense.

Like Dalton Kincaid, can he take another step and stay healthy? Keon Coleman, can he take another step and stay healthy? I don't think that all relies solely on Joe Brady.

I think, can Jim Leonard, who was hired by Joe Brady, develop these guys on defense? On top of, I didn't even mention the draft class from this year.

Certainly Khalil Shakir is a very good slot receiver, and he catches everything.

Dalton Kincaid will be healthy to begin the year.

So there will be options, but DJ Moore gives Josh Allen one more guy that he's dependable.

and in crunch moments feels confident throwing the football too.

He is absolutely an all-timer, but I think one of the things we can expect to see from Josh is just an elevation of all of his numbers.

Last year, he had to pull the ball down a few times and run or scramble or extend plays.

And I think if you see him do less of that and get rid of it on time, in rhythm with the passing game, you'll know that DJ Moore and Dalton Kincaid being healthy and Khalil Shakir and James Cook and all those guys are doing exactly what they planned on doing.

The key and the thing for Josh that we might not notice is that just how efficient he is.
