He has a pretty big game in his return from the glute injury that sidelined him for all of week one, virtually, and then week two.
Comes against the Washington Commanders, 29.66 fantasy points, as you see here, depending on your league scoring settings, that might be a little different.
The one thing that popped out to me for Sam Darnold and what his value might look like going forward, is the fact that he had 45 pass attempts.
Emmanuel Wilson and George Holani, they've popped here and there, been viable waiver wire pickups.
So perhaps we see this team become a little bit more pass heavy than we saw last year.
But obviously 45 pass attempts is not something we can expect to see from Sam Darnold very often.
That was just the second time in his entire Seahawks career, dating back to last year, obviously, that he has cracked 40 pass attempts in a single game, and those 45 attempts were a career high since he moved to Seattle.
So even with the passing volume starting to decline, I really do think that Sam Darnold is a strong pickup if he's out there in your league.
Still, I think he's a strong pickup because we know he can be so incredibly efficient simply because of the fact that he has Jaxon Smith-Njigba by his side.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been so wildly efficient in his own right, just posting ridiculous numbers above four yards per route run, and he has been an absolute menace in the red zone.
So with Jaxon Smith-Njigba leading the way and his ability to just turn red zone opportunities into passing touchdowns, I'm really bullish about Sam Darnold.
I think he is a matchup-based QB one moving forward in single quarterback leagues, and if you're in super flex leagues out there, obviously want to have him on your roster.
The other quarterbacks here, I think the other trendy one this week will be Geno Smith.
That is one of the ones that I am excited about as a potential streaming option moving forward, especially ahead of a matchup against the Chicago Bears.
