The main reason I wasn't going to go this year, I think I've mentioned that before on the podcast, and then I was talking to Scott Dunbar.

And he convinced me that it would be nice to get together, have dinner, and just meet face-to-face again.

So that's always an exciting opportunity.

Since Act 4 and Scott Dunbar are the driving forces behind the Artist Edition and the AE format.

Producing more books than any other publisher, that's for sure.

And it's interesting because we really didn't talk much shop.

Just talked about other things, right? Life things, just things that don't relate to artist editions, which is always nice to get to know somebody.

And of course, I had the wonderful opportunity to speak more with Amanda, the other half of Actual Publishing.

I did not get my interview that I thought maybe there'd be time for, but there's always Zoom for that, right? So what was the highlight of Baltimore? If you go to my site, index.org, you'll see I did a recap and there's some great photos there of me with Scott and me with Amanda independently because each one took the photo.

And I had a wonderful opportunity.

It worked out that I got to have dinner with Scott.

I got to sit beside Walt Simonson, which was awesome.

It was so great just to listen to him and ask him questions and just talk about stuff.

But also Jim Lee was there and David Peterson and Kevin Nolan.

And...

Really great experience.

Just, I don't, comics, you know, interesting.

Retailing came up sort of more of the, or how to deal with things and ask questions.

Not necessarily a lot of talk about art or drawing, that's for sure.

Because I'm sure that's, you know, work talk for them.

Why would you want to do that when you're not working? I also saw Heidi McDonald

at the restaurant.

And there's some other people there I didn't

recognize, but.

Yeah, it's a good time.
