So Westy how did you feel when this one turned up on the schedule?
I felt great because we've done this before.
We've covered it.
I think it was about four years ago now.
And I don't really think my opinions changed that much.
To be perfectly honest, it was just quite a high octane, visceral cinema experience.
It was absolutely mind blowing when I went and saw this on the big screen.
It was exactly what I wanted at the time.
There were so many coming out where they're trying to reinforce the franchises that had come out before me.
And it was just that kind of moment where they're just trying to rebirth all of these franchises.
You don't even need to see the other Mad Max films, by the way.
This is just an incredibly entertaining action masterclass.
And it's so, so entertaining.
I absolutely love it.
It's just such a technical masterpiece.
And for me, just one of those that I'll watch is just like, just to learn from it.
You can just learn so much from the filmmaking in this, from the editing, to the direction, to the kind of, even the lack of narrative structure.
Don't worry so much about having, you know, necessarily a really strong story to push you through.
It's just a thrill ride more than it is a narrative yarn.
And I love that now and again.
