Um, she was extraordinary.

She was so available and so committed, and I d- I remember there was this, I don't think anyone else has told this story, but there was a se- a s- uh, we were asked by George Miller's-

And then, here's the kicker.

We finished, we, we'd, you know, we'd wept, and we had, you know, struggled, and she'd left the room and come back and, you know, I'd wept and, and then the exercise was stopped, and, um, George Miller's acting dramaturg said, "Okay, now Tom and Gal, switch lines.

We go again." So I had, "I love you," and she had, "I'm sorry." Yeah, I mean, um-

I felt a little bit of like M.

Night Shyamalan and George Miller had like a little bit of a connection.

If you mix them two together and you splattered it against a wall in South Korea, this would be the movie that came out.

And I thought it was just a great experience as a whole.

And, uh, and George Miller, by all accounts, he's just like the most pleasant man.

Yeah.

But to anybody who read the book, did the book rip off George Miller, too?

like the george like the george miller ripoff was like bizarrely out of place like you have a movie where like this is clearly not that long after the apocalypse like people will remember the people who passed away

so i think at one point they say it's 2035 or something yeah

But you have this like crazy, like this big group of roving Mad Max extras that have like completely lost any sense of humanity and somehow are fully covered in tattoos.

Yeah.

Now, just before we go on because, um, I may have even asked, 'cause I went to a school function and George Miller was there, so they got me up to interview him.

And I was thinking, when you make a movie, and he, he just keeps ma- They're very long, his films.

But once you went from digital or film to digital, when you're making, when you're filming on film, there's a cost involved in, I'm assuming, filming on film.
