Are We There Yet?

If you've listened to me, you know I'm not a big fan of Pete Hegseth.

I, uh, I didn't know him well at Fox News.

I met him once or twice.

I can't judge him based on my experience.

I do know a lot of people who did know him, and I have heard from them many times before he was nominated and since he's become Secretary of Defense.

They don't have good things to say about him, and these are not liberals that worked at Fox.

These are conservative women who worked at Fox particularly.

Last week, Pete Hegseth announced that the US Army is going to execute a man who, uh, brutally attacked and murdered, uh, 14 or so on an Army base several years ago.

And not only are they gonna do this by firing squad, which hasn't been done since World War II, they're going to live stream it for all the world to see.

Get a crowd.

Now, um, I'm opposed to the death penalty.

I don't think that governments should, um, kill people who they have in custody.

It's different if you're at war and somebody's captured, disarmed.

Uh, I don't think it should be the government's job to avenge.

It's not really what we're supposed to be doing.

I, I also find it funny that people who pretend to be pro-life are very, very much looking forward to the live stream of this, uh, convict.

Not a lot of countries in the world do things like this, have firing squads or public executions like this.

Um, it's a very short list.

North Korea, the Taliban in Afghanistan, Iran.

I, I think that's it.

It's not even done in Russia or China.

Um, this is ridiculous, and the fact that Donald Trump is, "Yeah, I'm, I'm all for it, but maybe not," 'cause he's starting to hear from people.

This just furthers the insanity that has been going on with the Department of Defense since Donald Trump installed this, I don't know, dry drunk...

I don't know what you wanna call him On the one hand, I'm happy that he no longer drinks.
