I mean, at the end of the day, like, what is the problem being solved by the code? You know, like if you say build a standard Rails app for booking events at the local venue, whatever, like something like this, does it matter that the page loads 200 milliseconds too slow? I would say it does matter to me.
It doesn't matter if you in the controller put the input parameters in line or in a private method.

Because like I think what we now as an industry or community or whatever have to figure out is how many of the things we thought were important, like for which reason were they important? Because there were some that are like, well, this reduces the blast radius of this like this.
