Then boom, Factorio, your factory must grow.
Spartan339HOST
5:47
It's not optimized enough.
Spartan339HOST
5:48
Well, this game, you're constantly worried about how to optimize your code, which is cool because you would actually have to worry about that in real life.

Ben RadyHOST
29:16
It definitely seems appropriate for me and a lot of the other people that I know where it's like, it's not that I don't enjoy social interaction, it's just that it's taxing, right? Yeah.
Ben RadyHOST
29:27
And I can only do it for so long before I just need to go sit and like, you know, again, listen to Daft Punk and write some code or play Factorio as I've been doing a lot more recently, right?
Matt GodboltHOST
29:39
So that Tron soundtrack, oh, you see, I mean, that's a great one too, but like the Nine Inch Nails one is pretty darn awesome.
Matt GodboltHOST
29:46
uh you

12 MINS LATER

Ben RadyHOST
42:00
because I'm able to be so much more effective in such a short period of time.
Ben RadyHOST
42:06
So it's like, if you're looking for a past time, if you're looking for something to pass the time, it's not as good at that because I only have so many ideas for kind of like actually interesting hobby side projects.
Ben RadyHOST
42:20
Before you have to go back to Factorio.
Ben RadyHOST
42:23
Right.
iArbPairsGUEST
47:50
in a general framework how do computers work you know how does logic work and then when you're building systems i mean like really like one of the reasons that the models have gotten so good at everything is just it's just math you know like it's so we're basically just backing into logic and fundamental logic you can do whatever you want with it almost um And so it's just thinking in those terms.
iArbPairsGUEST
48:15
Like I brought up Factorio earlier, stuff like that.
iArbPairsGUEST
48:19
That's literally what it is.
iArbPairsGUEST
48:20
It's you have some kind of thing that you're optimizing for.
Steven LakeHOST
7:18
Absolutely adore that game.
Steven LakeHOST
7:20
Um, and Factorio is my number one.
Carrie PatelGUEST
7:24
Oh, nice.
Steven LakeHOST
7:24
And that's like a huge jump, huge jump in hours.
TaxPANELIST
72:41
If you build a new structure, you need to build lumber to it so it can be built.
TaxPANELIST
72:45
If you then do stuff in the structure, let's say a smithy you produce or forge you produce ingots and they need to be transported to something like a bladesmith, then blade just turns into weapons and then the weapons will be supplied to soldiers and the soldiers can man and military outpost which can then extend to territory which then gives you extra more resources and so and so on and so forth and this like kind of says you did compare it to those idle games and it's i would say it's almost the basis for that like maybe not this game specifically the office as well but basically it's always like one more thing it's a bit like um Like Factorio, where, oh, I would like to do the thing, but I need these resources.
TaxPANELIST
73:29
And for this resource, I need this building.
TaxPANELIST
73:31
And for the building, I need the other thing.
