why did you move to germany

um well i i wanted to

happen in your life that you moved to germany when you were 19.

Well, I was with somebody in the military.

I was with somebody in the military, but I also went to school while I was over there.

But the primary reason was that I was somebody that was in the military.

I lived in Frankfurt, but it wasn't a very enjoyable experience.

Obviously, I'm an island girl.

It's in my bones, you know.

And there's no beaches there.

The sun barely comes out.

It snows a lot.

There's like seven months of winter.

And it's funny because most people, what happens? They're like, you're going to go live in Europe.

And everybody's like, wow, that's so cool.

Like your whole family's like, wow, that's amazing.

You're there for two months and you're like, oh my God, what

did I do? And the Cubans are going, pa' donde va? Yeah.

My parents were like, you know it snows there all the time.

I'm like, it's going to be great.

I'm going to love it.

Yeah, right.

My dad's like, you're going to love it for the first couple of months.

And then I was like, watch, you're going to see it.

No, and he was absolutely right.
