Oktoberfest

Yeah, Matt's out.

Yeah, Matt just came back from Oktoberfest.

He's jet-lagged.

Actual Oktoberfest in actual Germany, so he's completely out of it.

I just came back from France.

And he was slamming in a beer as well.

It's October.

I'll say he's getting his Oktoberfest on in Frankfurt.

So it should be.

We'll find out in a couple of minutes.

It's going to be great.

I do wish Oktoberfest was going on.

We're like a few weeks late.

I do

But really, if you go into Europe, though, that's where the subculture really thrives.

You have Oktoberfest in October, and that's for the beer, for the Germans.

But we as Europeans, we like to celebrate packing peanut fest, right? And so that's where people really get to gather from all over Europe, right? Even people from Germany and Sweden and Switzerland and London.

And all these people in those countries, they come to Europe for us to join the festival.

And so folks just have a little bit different personality to them, but still very, very friendly.

Of course, Munich in September goes insane for Oktoberfest, but we were there in July.

So not quite as nuts, but still very, very touristy.

We stayed at the Hyatt Andaz Hotel.

When you get dropped off by your cab or your Uber, you're walking up this gravel path and you're just sort of trying to figure out, am I even in the right place? What exactly is this? And then as you crest the top of this little hill, it opens up all out in front of you.

And it literally can hold thousands of people.

And during Oktoberfest, it does from dawn to dusk.

It is their central meeting point.

Yeah.

Oktoberfest did a number on us.

Yes.

But also I was sick on top of that.

Yeah.

I was ill.

Like before we went to Oktoberfest, I had caught something and we still went.

Shouldn't have done that.

So there was...

So Oktoberfest...

That was our

relationship to that, you know, which is obviously another, a whole nother thing.
