Jul 14, 2026 · 1 hr 20 min · 12 segments
Are you interested in learning what armies will be brought to the first ever **SMEGL Cup**? Are you curious to discover what some of SMEGL's top players have deemed as viable and competitive at **850…
The second preview episode of this Mugle Cup.
This time we are actually going through the lists because at the time of recording, this is the Sunday before the event.
So we actually have that information.
And as a quick recap, we'll run through the event format.
So this is an 850 point event.
There are six teams, each with four players representing their respective states.
Asterix for Tennessee, who had to, we'll say, do some external recruiting to get a team of four, but essentially four players from each state.
And they will be paired up against other teams.
So you don't have to play anyone on your own team.
And each team during the list building can only have one unique, you know, or no more than one of each unique hero and piece of war gear.
So you can't have Legolas in two lists.
You also can't have like an Elessar and a Strider, right? There's only one Aragorn.
So only one Aragorn for those four players.
And then across the The event itself, kind of the way the pairings will work, is each team will be aligned against another team.
And they'll go over to their tables, and there'll be four of them.
And the scenarios for each table will be provided.
And then the captain will essentially communicate to the TO, hey, this is which player I want on which board.
So each player will more or less get to choose their scenario.
Well, it'll already be on the table, but you won't know who your opponent is.
So there is definitely some strategery to be done both in the list building components to make sure each team has four well-rounded lists, but then also when assigning those armies onto boards, given whatever scenario.
the board looks like and the scenario itself.
So any thoughts there from you, Joe, or anything I missed?
