Yeah, I would've been, I would've been 10 or 12 at the time, and it's one of the movies that I think got me into working in the film industry.
Between that and then also watching Skyfall from James Bond, shot by Roger Deakins-
it was, like, those two movies where I was like, "The, the art of cinema is incredible," and then, uh, started watching way too many videos on YouTube about how to start making films and now work as a, as a professional cinematographer.
So it's sort of a, a fun thing that Interstellar is both a movie that has shaped the trajectory of my life in terms of my career, and the point that I brought up in the video is that I find it to be an interesting question around what would it take for me to believe in God again? And I think that the answer's in Interstellar, and the basic thesis there is that because the forces in Interstellar, um, communicate clearly, um, in a obviously human format and provide very salient wisdom and insight, uh, I think that humanity ought have the obligation...
And then even then in the movie, they still treat it with A lot of, let's say, reverence and mystery where they don't know exactly what it is.
They're not super quick to anthropomorphize it, um, and they don't overstep their sort of epistemic bounds other than we're getting communications that seem to break our common understanding of reality.
And I think that's sort of what I would look at in a potential candidate for, um, God for me to believe in.
Um, I think that's, uh, the general outline of what I'd put in that video some...

And in a sense, uh, so my video's coming from a Christian theological perspective, but it's not meant to be a kind of slam dunk, if you agree with my video, unlucky, you have to be a, become a Christian now.
