Before I introduce our guest, I just wanted to go over kind of, uh, the donations that have come in and explain them a bit because it does bear some explaining.

And if you're the Jeffrey I'm thinking of, you were supposed to shoot me a text at some point about helping me out with something.

Please do that, or I can just get your number, but I'll remember to get your text message.

So the other three donations, and I'll cover who they're from here in a moment, went directly to the North Hawk Restoration Fund.

Uh, many of you have already heard what happened, but I'll go over it as briefly as I can without trying to sound too, uh, bitter towards the people that caused it.

Uh, so we are at the hawk in person twice a month, uh, on workday and then for the food pantry/Holy Tide.

Between break backs in August and the September workday, which would have been three weeks ago this upcoming weekend, uh, at some point, Duke Energy had contracted some tree trimmers to come onto our property and, uh, trim the tree down the power lines.

Um, besides leaving huge, obnoxious ruts in our little backyard area that many of you have seen, that's obnoxious, but we can deal with it.

Besides that, they at some point snagged a power line and knocked it out, cutting power to the hawk.

I won't go into gory detail, but you can surely imagine what two dead pigs sitting in the Florida heat for roughly a week can do to an industrial freezer, a brick building, or a carpeted floor.

Um, I was telling Jordan and pretty sure Nick earlier, my son playing with volume, and he, uh, is, he's doing that now, so my apologies.

Uh, thankfully, a handful of North Star people showed up for the work day and were able to do a lot of the heavy hitting as far as cleaning that stuff up.

So, um, my other right-hand guy besides Jordan, uh, Gothy Boaty Mayo, um, led the charge on this.

Um, by the way, in his short time as hof steward, he has arguably outperformed our previous hof stewards.
