Insha'Allah.

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim.

Alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin.

Wassalatu wassalamu ala nabiyyina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'in.

Amma ba'd.

So as you mentioned, Sheikh, that parents naturally, they have that concern for their children.

And that's something natural that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala has placed within parents for their children.

But also at the same time, Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala and the sunnah of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam also shows us that it is an amanah that we have to uphold.

For example, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he said, "Kullukum ra'un wa kullukum mas'ulun an ra'iyatihi" That all of you are shepherds, and all of you are responsible for your flock.

So the parents are responsible for their, their children.

And Allah commands us, "Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo", o you who believe, save yourselves, "wa anfu- uh, wa ahlikeem", and your families from the, uh, from the Hellfire.

So that's why not only is this a natural concern that a parent may have, but it's also a responsibility that we have to, um, uphold as well.

So therefore, this topic, you know, is very important, not only from the angle of how a parent naturally feels, but also from the angle of upholding one of the rights of the children, which is to, uh, have that concern and that care for their, especially the, the Islamic side and the attachment to their religion.

So bi-thnillahi ta'ala, we have a number of advices, insha'Allah ta'ala.

The first one which, um, I would like to mention is for me, probably the most important, and at the same time, sometimes the most, uh, neglected, which is to constantly make dua for your children.

'Cause all of the other things that we'll mention, they're all asbab, and we take the asbab, we take the means.

But a- at the end of the day, it's in the hands of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala.

You could take all of the means that you wanted to.

If Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala did not want guidance for that person, then that guidance will not, uh, take place.

And this is why throughout the Quran, you'll also find that many of the prophets 'Alayhim salatu wa Salam, repeatedly you'll find du- duas where they are making dua for their children.

Ibrahim 'Alayhi Salaam, multiple duas.

"Rabbi aj'alni muqima al-salati wa min dhurriyati".

He's making dua that Allah makes him from those who establish the Salah and also his children and his offspring are from those who establish the Salah.

Um, we have Nuh 'Alayhi Salaam, "Rabbi ighfir li wa li-walidayya wa liman dakhala bayti mu'mina walil-mu'mineena wal-mu'minat".

And likewise, uh, Zakariya 'Alayhi Salaam, "Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibah".
