270 - Port Hope 8

But yes, episode 20 was Tupac Shakur.

Tupac was shot in a drive-by in Vegas in September 1996.

He was then in a coma where he died from his injuries six days later.

Dwayne Davis, aka Keefy D, was arrested in September 2023 on charges of orchestrating the murder and providing the firearm used.

He pleaded not guilty.

It was argued the shooting was in retaliation of Tupac's entourage attacking Kifidi's nephew, Orlando Anderson, following a boxing match at the MGM Grand.

On August 31st, 2026, Kifidi was found guilty of orchestrating Tupac's murder.

The verdict came in a week before the 30th anniversary

of the shooting.

crazy

kifi d faces up to life in prison now keeping in mind he was found guilty not of the murder but specifically orchestrating the murder right because i think we assume i mean i can't remember are we assuming that he gave orlando the gun and orlando was the shooter is that what we were assuming i don't remember because orlando passed

A couple years later.

That's right.

That's right.

So I

assume he was the shooter and that's why they've had to let that go because he passed away and obviously there's nothing that can be done

about it.

Right.

Well.

Yeah.

I mean, at least some level of justice is being served.

It's just wild to me again because we talked about it 85 years ago on the podcast.

Yeah.

Uh-huh.

And yeah, you were right then and you're right now.
