John MichaelGuestSteadyGuestNoCoGuestShantyHostHey, it's Pipsqueak here.
I'm getting back to these questions here.
And for this one, it's expectations versus reality.
So kind of figuring out what I was expecting before the trail and how has that kind of changed as I'm out here actually doing it.
So like I've said before, I just kind of came out here on a whim.
Didn't really have any plans or made any plans or anything like that.
So all this was going to be a kind of like a new experience for me.
You know, I say that, but also I kind of thought it's like, hey, this is going to be very similar to the Pacific Crest Trail.
Like this is going to be nice and easy terrain.
It's going to have lots of good views.
It's just going to be nice.
That's kind of what I was thinking.
So, you know, my expectations of coming out here was like, hey, this is another long trail.
And that all got blown away very quickly.
So I kind of just expected this just to be this really nice trail that's just really well taken care of because it is such an old trail that there wouldn't be any rocks, that there's no roots, nothing to trip on, that trail maintenance was actually being done for, you know, it is the green tunnel.
Like it is made for people that are six feet and shorter.
So that's a big reality check.
I've got to duck everywhere I go through the road to Dindron Forest.
It is, it's not fun.
This whole trail has not been fun, but it's not just about hiking the trail.
