May Checkpoint W/ Keith McPherson

Yeah, so we lose two out of three to the Mets, unfortunately.

But we beat the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday.

But the bullpen is an absolute dumpster fire right now.

Bednar's just being used too much.

Hedrick's being used too much.

Seems like something's about, like, shoes about to drop.

How do you even fix this bullpen right now?

pray hope uh hope help is on the way and changes come and you know cashman is usually looking in the bargain bin clearance rack somebody is getting cut somebody's a pro that's in triple a maybe he finds like like when you think about tim hill he found tim hill with the chicago white socks in the year that they were losing a record amount of games um he's always good for finding like a random like that so i don't know and then also you can think about Maybe calling some young guys up, but it is what it is.

And we knew it was what it was going into the season.

When we looked at the team, we said, this bullpen might not be it.

We're going to have to replace a lot of innings from guys that were on the team last year.

Yes.

I mean, Ryan Yarborough, Paul Blackburn, and Angel Chivilli were our bullpen reinforcements this offseason.

it's troubling but you know it is what it is they're bringing up yovani cruz um you know do you know much about yovani cruz i mean he throws 102 right that's

all i know he throws hard

yeah he throws hard his command is a little erratic but um They're bringing him up.

It's a good move because he does have a 3.00 ERA in the minors.

They just at least this year, they're having a little sense of urgency, like, OK, this isn't working.

Let's do the next thing.

If you could speak on that for a minute, I guess.

Yeah, Cashman tried to deny it.

Right.

But it's obvious they have a sense of urgency.

They're moving different.

It's very businesslike.
