They're not gonna be decided until the end of training camp, and maybe they'll even carry over into the regular season.
But now is the time, the first full team practice, when we really start looking at, okay, who's competing for what spots? What are the tightest battles? So what do you say we go back and forth like we have been doing and, and touch on maybe our three best position battles that we'll be looking for starting tomorrow, uh, AKA today, when the Packers take the field.
Yeah, I, [scoffs] I can't wait for next week, right? I mean, we've been in a little bit of a dry spell.
We've been at the quietest time of the NFL calendar, which is still, you know, noisy nationally.
This is when they go offense versus defense instead of out there running routes on air or running coverages in simulation.
So we're going to get to see some of these young players stepping on the field for the first time, some of these second-year players stepping on the field for the first time.
Like, I'm excited to see Brandon Csik match up against Matthew Golden when he comes-
... out here, and, uh, and, and what is that going to look like? When we talk about position battles though, Matt, 'cause I, I, I think clear as day, when you're the first pick out of the Green Bay Packers, you're a second round draft pick, it was a position of need or perceived need going into the draft.
I think the competition at outside cornerback is going to be a big one this year, and it's a three-man, four-man potential race.
And what kind of combination out of those four guys end up being the two outside cornerbacks? We know they play nickel a lot.
We would assume that Javin Bullard is gonna be that nickel guy going into the season.
But who is going to be on the outside? I think Keishan Nixon is the lead horse right now, but who's going to step in and take that number two outside cornerback spot? Or are they gonna challenge Keishan Nixon, or is Keisan- Keishan Nixon gonna get challenged as well?
