There were certain people that there weren't enough people to go to funerals for some of the fallen firefighters, policemen, and they would go to these funerals and just to kind of show the support there.

But I mean, so much was involved in that.

Uh, we're still processing that.

I used to work in the World Trade Center, One World Trade Center.

... as far as my internal clock.

Uh, but yeah, it was, uh...

It's, we're doing good, doing good on a Friday.

Um, you know, today is what it is, and it, it is what it is for if you live here or not, so we'll just acknowledge that and get that out of the way.

I know where I was 25 years ago.

I'm sure y'all do too.

Uh, but yep, that is a thing, and that's all I want to say about it.

I don't want to dwell on it too much, because we are here to talk about video games, which are chaotic and crazy, and what a week.

The fact that he's gonna run the ball, I, I got lot, lot of confidence going into Sunday, like brimming with confidence.

It's gonna be a really good football team.

Uh, really well-coached.

Uh, Coach Best has done a really nice job.

He's been there for thirty years, so he knows what it's supposed to look like.

He knows what he wants.

Uh, I would say probably, you know, obv- the personnel is really good, but by far and away the most experienced team we've played.

You know, they returned nine starters on defense, seven on offense, which in college football right now is almost unheard of.

Um, so they're gonna come in the dome.

The University of Houston game, a fan decided to run onto the field, and it was a big mistake.

Oh, wow.

Oh.

And it's a, it's a profound, very profound point that, that the movie is making, the vagaries of life.

How, you know, if I didn't take a, a job at the University of Houston, uh, at something called Telefund, which would call and pester alumni for money when I got to college, 'cause I already had jobs.

This was just an additional job I could work on campus, and it was gonna pay well.

And so I was working in Midtown at Paul's All American Seafood, and I had another job working selling fax paper.

Yeah, and Kyle Shanahan has definitely had Sean McVay's, uh...

Has had, he's had the edge on him, uh, more times than not.

Uh, but also, I wanna shout out Brock Purdy because Brock Purdy has these games where he just looks like Joe Montana sometimes.

It's like, if what...

It, it continues to be a really cool story.

So lot to get into.

Before we jump into a conversation here with our guest, I did wanna thank everybody who came out to Utopian Tailgate the other night.

Uh, we had a great time.

He was simply a, a senator from Wisconsin looking to generate some publicity, and he latched onto this, this investigation of communists in the US government.

Um, but [clears throat] Ro- Roy Cohn, the, who, whom he hired as his chief counsel for his subcommittee Uh, was the real brains behind the investigation, the witch hunt.

Uh, and Roy was driven ideologically, but also, um, he was just, he was relentless and very efficient and a, a terrific interrogator, and he intimidated, uh, thousands of federal civil servants and many of whom lost their jobs.

It was a real low point in American history.

And it kind of started with things like 9-11.

I actually had a series of events happen within a matter of a week where I heard Ron Paul speak at the University of Houston.

I read this book called Rule by Secrecy by author Jim Mars, which is kind of more on the conspiratorial side.

And then, yeah, and then I watched Alex Jones documentary and then it was some bands I was listening to that were talking about the Federal Reserve.
