Um, I think first off, we've, we've probably got a lot of questions, uh, from some folks, um, on what's happening this fall.
I feel like here in Sylva, we were spared.
I mean, we dodged-
... a bullet locally.
There was still some...
I've never seen the water as high here as it was.

Um, but I, I was talking with a geologist from Western Carolina University that studied the flood mapping of the storm.
We missed it by 15 miles.
I mean, you think about it, that's like the top of Balsam from downtown Sylva.
Yeah.
So, um, we've got a... we've got 6,000-foot mountains here and here.
I'm pointing to my north and east for anybody listening-
Yeah
... 'cause you can't see me right now.
Um, and those 6,000-foot mountains really block a lot of weather for us, and so it kind of, kind of nudged the storm a little further east than it wanted to go.
So we, we really got lucky.
But, um-
