Walt and Matt talk fantasy, from CS Lewis to GRR Martin.

And there's so many things on my to be watched list, just like my to be read lists.

Speaking of books, I do have I have to cut a corner off of my nerd card because I will admit, I have not read the Lord of the Rings.

the Hobbit I have read parts of the Hobbit when I was a kid I remember my dad reading it to us I have on my shelves over here somewhere the it's this beautiful printed edition of the Hobbit with all the it's so full of art and it's all from the Rankin Bass animated production I mean I've seen the movies but that's one I haven't gotten around to yet I've read, um, plenty of, uh, stuff that's inspired by the Lord of the Rings.

So like the first big fantasy series that I consumed was the Terry Brooks Shannara series.

C.S. Friedman did fantasy and sci-fi in her...
Oh, I can't even remember the name of this series.
Never mind.
It's not important.

And I think part of... going back to he-man and thundercats uh definitely it is a blend of sci-fi and fantasy oh yeah god yeah the sword of power but then you've got these ships that um all the all the vehicles that he-man have that are very technological and then you know the thundercats have all their space faring and all that but then you got mom raw Right.

And the Sword of Omens, which toward the end of the series ends up being the JSX Machina for every little problem that they come across.
