Welcome to Complicated Opportunities, a Cosmere RPG podcast with a couple of GMs.

So we've ran through like a lot of the high level stuff with the Mistborn campaigns and the handbook and the world guide.

But today we kind of really wanted to focus on the legacies from Mistborn Legacy.

So these are the kind of like a special mechanic, I guess you would say, that Mistborn Legacy really brings to the table to help drive collaboration between your Era 1 characters and Era 2.

So, Irving, why don't you go ahead and get us started on your thoughts since you're going to be... because work work got me so yeah irving's gonna be running the full mistboard legacy campaign for shard because work hates me

yeah yeah so the legacies are basically a more in-depth option for background character creation and they serve to inform your character and then also give you opportunities to interact with the story in a really cool way um so we have six of them uh the noble chronicler urchin official convict and veteran for arrow one and then conversely there's a six that tie to those in era two the air the explorer the entrepreneur the law keeper the storyteller and the rookie now uh at a normal table where you'll have the exact same players from era to era you don't have to play your own descendant you could play someone else's at the table i do think it's recommended however that like If you guys don't have a convict, well, in Era 2, no one's probably going to play the storyteller.

I wouldn't say that I am like a necessarily like devoutly religious person, but I love the concept of religion and theology.

And I'm definitely the guy, you remember Ham in Mistborn, who like loves to have these big philosophical conversations.

So we're kind of giving the game away above my head right now, but we are going to be playing the Cosmere role-playing game, specifically the Stormlight setting, because at the time of recording the Mistborn setting is not out yet.
