'Cause you know there's some graduates or kids that are gonna start in the fall on their, their journey to, um, to Louisville, and they've got it in their blood and they wanna keep doing it, but there are things in life that you gotta prioritize right beyond, you know, whether it be marking cards or coaching kids to mark cards.

And so those are hard choices, right? 'Cause you always say, "Well, there's the next team and this next group I'm recruiting," and it's hard to step away, isn't it, Brady? I mean, it's tough.
And I have a- another past teammate of mine and one of my very best friends is Taylor Frank at Butler Community College, and I admire him and we talk very frequently about livestock judging and teams.
And we both, and Spencer Scott too, we were all three teammates at Butler, and Taylor, he, he became a Red Raider, so we get to pick on him a little bit for that.
But, um, um, obviously while remaining great friends and, um, you know, we, we talk about all the time and another one of my college roommates is Dr. Parker Henley.
Um, when I was at K-State, he was a year ahead of me and we lived together and, and are great friends today.
But, you know, I admire those guys and, and give them so much praise for their sacrifice, uh, away from home and, um, what they breathe into those kids.
And, and I would say that, you know, one thing I loved about Brookings and coaching was I always said it's, it's a mecca of livestock within an hour to two hours from campus.
Um, Olsen Yorkshires, those guys became great friends and great mentors, and obviously it's cattle capital of the world.
Um, so we didn't have to drive far for practice, but I tell you what, you drive a few years back from Houston, uh, to Brookings, South Dakota, and that'll, that'll break you of liking to drive too much.
Um, but, but no, in all seriousness, they- it's, um, i- it's tough, you know, um, especially as you're starting a family and, and raising kids, and I don't know how some guys do it, but I praise them for, for the commitment they've made.

You also said something there that I wanna make sure we capture is it's okay to say thank you as a student.

Because, you know, you're in with your coach, you love your coach, you're doing great things, but you forget that, yes, you're sacrificing Saturdays as a college student, right, working out, but the coach is sacrificing Saturdays too away from their family and, um, you know.

It's not like they're making tons of money in this coaching academic thing anyway.
