I mean, you know, and I'm sure that, yeah, Phoenix has its draws, but you're telling me you don't miss that a little bit, brother?

[laughs]

Soup season with some diaps? Come on now.

So Tommy, I think Tommy's got a lot of Peter Casey in him, just can't help himself, but, like, you see a good deal, you have to take advantage, you know, of that deal.

Yeah.

So Tommy's thinking, "Hey, we're going to Phoenix.

Let's see what the Phoenix market's got." And, you know, he's looking at lawnmowers, looking at tractors, then he dips his toes into the, in the used car market.

So honestly, I- it was just, like, a culmination of a lot of things, ended up waving the white flag.

Moved back to Phoenix, moved in with my parents, and it was just like, I feel like I had everything that I wanted, and then all of a sudden it was like, "Oh, we're, you know, we're 26 and living in our parents', like, guest-

[laughs]

... guest room next to the garage [laughs] and just figuring out life and..." But honestly, I think that's, like, what I needed.

"Maybe I train differently.

Maybe I have a different coach." Um, what was that moment for you where the itch came back and you said, "All right, I'm gonna try this again"?

Gosh, I got married in, you know, met my husband in 2019, like, a few, I would say, like, four months after I moved back to Phoenix.

So, you know, I had-

A massive, silent formation of lights in the shape of a V, moving slowly south, so low and so wide that some people swore it blocked out the stars behind it.

It drifted over the whole state, from the edge of Nevada, across Phoenix, down toward Mexico.

And then, it was gone.

So what really crossed the sky that night? A secret flight of jets? A trick of flares and comet fever? Or could it have been the largest mass UFO sighting in American history? I'm Dr.

Today's episode is all about the Phoenix Lights.

On one night in 1997, thousands of people across Arizona looked up and saw something in the sky they couldn't explain.

This is not Arizona.

This is not Phoenix.

There is a big microscope that the general manager gets put on here, obviously, and he understands that.

Uh, he said, you know, he's willing to take that in stride.

I'm not on the left wing, so I'm not blamed.

But I don't think everybody on the left wing intended to violate Charlie Kirk statue in Phoenix.

In fact, I think it's a little suspect that they've not released the security footage, the surveillance footage.

I'm very curious to see that.

Really, really, really? Was it a bushy-tailed squirrel? Furry leftist again? Aw, shucks.

That'd be funny if they're like switching the MKUltra program over to spray paint vandalism.

All right, we need to activate an asset in the Phoenix area.

Yeah, the only thing we got is a furry.

Remember, you must die.

The day before James Arthur Ray's trial began, Ginny and George Brown flew from New York to Phoenix and drove about 100 miles north.

They met up with Kirby's younger brother and her cousin, Bob Magnanini, who had flown in from New Jersey that same day.

Bob's also a lawyer, and he'd agreed to represent the family in a wrongful death civil case against James.

And I just wanted to assure her, whether it was in just our presence, that we were there in support of her, and we weren't going to go anywhere.

She had driven more than an hour to be there in court that morning.

I am a member of the Akimor O'odham in Gila River, which is about 10 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona.

We are part of the O'odham tribes.

All the job growth is the suburbs and exurbs of 30 places.

And so most places that people are from or where their sports loyalties are or where their grandparents lived, are going to have a declining number of jobs because the agglomeration economy is going to be on the edges of Nashville and Atlanta and Dallas and Phoenix and Austin, right? And so people are going to have to build new forms of community to feel like they're connected to cause and meaning and purpose and cousins and neighbors two doors down.

And I don't think we know how to do that yet.

And so we're going to have to solve those problems.

Now, this is going quite a ways back, back when I was doing operational consulting for, you know, small businesses that were growing in the Western U.S. and Canada.

But I used to fly in and out of Phoenix a lot of times on jobs.

I lived in Silicon Valley at the time, but we'd fly there.

And America West was all over the place.

I was taking America West flights almost every week or every other week somewhere.

And a lot of them, I guess Phoenix was one of their hubs.

But when we would land, there'd be two whole concourses that had America West aircraft.

Well, I'm going to guess none of you have flown America West in the last few years because they declared bankruptcy.

And we're believing that God is going to move mightily in Romania.

And we know God is up to something great in Phoenix, Arizona.

So get ready.

I would say get your passports ready if you don't have one.
