Monday Preview - NFL Week 5

Just a laundry list of injuries, lots to figure out, lots to work through and try gauge going forward.

Some notable injuries, there were a lot of cluster injuries, which will continue to be monitored and evaluated as the week goes on.

But I just want to talk about some of the big ones that are going to be noteworthy.

Lamar Jackson, biggest one of the week.

He suffered an ankle injury.

It's possibly a high ankle sprain.

There's speculation that it is more on the mild side than anything substantial.

The base consensus is at least one week missed.

probably 50-50 beyond that.

But you think about his style of play and what he tends to do outside of the pocket and extend plays, high ankle sprain is certainly substantial.

And he was seen in a boot leaving the game.

Now, the boot typically tends to be a bit of a misleading thing to see visually, but But this is one that is definitely going to have an impact at least for one week, possibly beyond that.

When he was in the game in the first half, it looked so good on offense.

And it has all season.

But unfortunate to see him go down yesterday.

Keep an eye on that as we go through the week.

But speculation is that he is not going to be available to play the game coming up this week against the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta.

Next injury that stood out yesterday would be D.J. Moore.

He re-aggravated his shoulder injury, possible AC joint issue, 50-50 to play week five.

But typically with this injury, it's a week missed.

And so for the Bills, big game on the road at L.A., even with the extra day of rest, it is probably going to be tough to expect to see DJ Moore out on the field.

Next big injury that stood out, Cincinnati.

Jamar Chase was ruled out with a concussion.

It was a face mask and a bit of an ugly hit that took him out of the game in the second quarter against Jacksonville.
