What I just wanted to do is list off several of the words that we didn't get to today so that people-

... who are interested in getting Tongue in Church can know like some of the different things that we can talk about.

Some of the other words I really love are gospel, jubilee, apocalypse, eternal life, Samaritan, Magdalene, American flag.

Then we've got Adam and Eve, fruit of vipers, ooh that one was such a good one, donkey, eternal life, give to God what is God's, horse and chariot in King James Version, king of the Jews, mark of the beast, Messiah, New Revised Standard Edition, sacrifice, salt of the earth, Savior, Son of God, Whore of Babylon, Yahweh, and church language.

I wanted to finish on those because when somebody comes to you and you're working through your deconstruction, and you are in a community that is not supportive of this, especially church community, and they're saying, "Look, the Bible is clear.

[laughs] 'Cause I mean, people have said that to me, and I always stop and say, "Wait a second, wait a second, wait a second." Then I open dialogue and we very quickly...

If somebody's like, "Well, the Bible's clear about this," I'm just like, "Well, wait, wait.

Tell me what you think it's clear about." And then I will offer, again, I've played this out dozens of times, as many people have, I will offer how I view it, and then as soon as they rebuttal, I say, "Can we see already how it's not super clear? Because we are just two people and we don't see it the same way." So to say that it is clear, s- we've already demonstrated that it's not.

'Cause if it was, then we'd both have the same understanding, and we don't.

The first one is, uh, Christianity has never in the past, and it is not now, one thing.

That's why Paul had to write so many letters to these communities who were fighting, right? That's why Jesus was killed, because we can't seem to understand we're all trapped in this thing called reality, and we're just trying to figure out what is it here.
