Cardinals vs. Chargers Week 1 preview with Gavino Borquez

Hello, Arizona Cardinals fans, and welcome to the latest edition of the Rise Up Searhead podcast, the best of Cardinals talk on the web.

I'm your host, Jess Root, from CardsWire.com USA, today's NFL Wireside that covers, of course, your Arizona Cardinals, and we're episode 819, or 818, I don't remember what episode we're on, but over 800 episodes, and we're official in week one.

This is one of two preview shows that we will have this week.

And joining me for the opponent preview, just a couple months after we did the offseason one, Gavino Borges of Chargers Wire joins me on the show.

Welcome back, Gavino.

Always a pleasure to have you on.

And we finally get NFL football.

We get real football.

It's regular season stuff.

Justin Herbert, Khalil Mack, Mike McDaniel.

Mike McDaniel calling plays now.

How have you been? And how are the Chargers looking this year entering 2026?

Yeah, man.

So we last spoke a couple of months ago and previewed this team.

And there have been some some changes, of course, injury related because it's the Chargers.

So that comes as no surprise.

But I'm just happy that the summer is behind us.

I mean, us living in Arizona, summer is not really behind us yet.

And I don't expect us to be the case.

It's nice today,

though.

It was nice this morning.

Yes.

Yes, yes.

It's still at about 100 degrees, but, I mean, that's nice to us.
