The show with the orange unicorn.
I searched everywhere.
And there's no mention of it.
It's just some
forgotten chill from the 90s.
Yeah, but there's
nothing.

I read the synopsis, saw the poster, and thought I was in for another slasher utilizing a cutesy children's TV mascot to give a vehicle to attempt to shock the audience.

Smart, uncomfortable, even a slow burn of dark slasher comedy tension that almost should have been a Death the Smoochie reboot.

But anyway, Buddy was directed and written by Casper Kelly with a writing credit from Jessica Jones writer Jamie King.

That kicks us off and leaves almost half the movie like we're watching Barney rerun episodes with each episode intended to build mystery of tension of our orange unicorn character Buddy and his murderous ways.

In any other movie like this, we would get the setup, we would get the idea, we would get the idea of the slasher, we would get mystery, we would get scene after scene of bloody kills and a plan to survive.
