Just, just a perfect little bit of satire there.

And when Will Forte, when his character, Kevin Avery, cites precedent, and the precedent which is perfectly dead on in this context, he's citing precedent of, of a job, saying that this actually is a job, and the precedent is Sylvester v. Gonzales.

And, and you have to for a second-

That was in 1992.

And we then hopped to the present where the repeatedly beaten, squashed, blown up and generally impaired Kyle E. Coyote sees an ad on the TV advertising a personal injury lawyer called Kevin Avery, who has secured a neat line in winning his customers $300, an accident claim.

Avery is played by Will Forte, best known for Saturday Night Live and the sitcom The Last Man on Earth.

Although I know him from the dark comedy series Bodkin, set in Ireland, currently streaming on Netflix, which is actually quite good.

But a couple other things I want to point out.

The Will Forte character, Kevin Avery, he is named for Looney Tunes animator Ted.

Rex Avery, John Cena, and then the other lawyer there, they both have bird last names, Crane and Pelicanos.

One of the other partners at the law firm, his last name is Maltese, which is the screenwriter and co-creator of Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner.

Mm-hmm.

But by making it like a dual parallel storyline with Will Forte's character as Kevin, Kevin Avery.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, he had the opportunity to grow and change and mature and learn about himself and, and it's through his experiences with the coyote that he was able to become a better man and a better lawyer and a better person.

Let's not even bother.

Let's not be inventive.

Let's not try a way to do it." So if anything, he's more like Kevin Avery at the beginning of the film.

So-

Now, Mr.

Billboard himself, Kevin Avery, when we first meet Kevin, he has no faith in himself and he goes on quite the emotional inner journey throughout the film.

But for you, what did you admire about Kevin?

Well, it's just a good message for everybody, you know, that with a little prodding, you can do great things.

You know, you can, it's such a, this whole movie is such a wonderful David and Goliath story.

He's so unwavering in his ability to just start again and keep trying and keep trying.

And I think Paige is very much like that.

And I really wanted to be able to be a foil for Kevin, for Will, because I really just wanted to support his journey of him realizing that there's more to life.

Mind you, rather than simply accept another defeat.

Wiley coyote decides to take Acme corporation to court after watching a commercial by Kevin Avery, Avery will Forte's character, which is now Wiley coyote's lawyer, by the way.

Both Lana Condor and Will Forte are, you know, related.

She's his niece.

And.

The last name Avery, I wonder if that is a Easter egg as well, because you guys, if you're old school fans of Looney Tunes and cartoons and stuff like that, Tex Avery is a very well known name.

in in the history of animation an american animation at that tex avery used to be it is the guy who you who would do the um tom and jerry cartoons the droopy doll cartoons which by the way there is a bit of a gag on droopy in this too as well i will say that which almost leads me to believe that the avery last name could be a not a an homage or nod to tex avery as well so very interesting that they were called avery in a show based on looney tunes and all that stuff so just very interesting there so he while he decides he wants to sue the acme corporation he finds kevin avery a struggling personal injury lawyer who filmed uh who firms uh specializes in representing cartoon characters injured by a product they uh purchased which by the way The settlement fee, the settlement amounts that they've settled for is egregiously cheap.

Like, they sue for like $250 or $300 and the settlements are $300.
