And so yesterday when we were talking about this issue, then I brought up about the Charlie Kirk case.

A year after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, we have a district court judge in Utah saying, I want you to write me briefs from both sides to determine if there's probable cause to send the case to the grand jury.

Mm-hmm.

Now, you've been around law for a long time, longer than I have.

I've practiced law for 24 years.

Never in my life in state or federal court have I had a judge tell me, we're going to write briefs on probable cause.

The judge just makes a call after the hearing, and you send the case to the grand jury.

Let someone else decide.

Now, unless there's something, I don't know about Utah law, and I hadn't heard anybody that's a talking head out there tell me something that's extraordinary to Utah.

What are we doing? I mean, this is a sideshow.

Again, I think you, after this length of time in the legal system, is starting to see where it's getting perversed with individuals' own desires, right? To install something that they personally believe in and not just be an advocate for the law.

Yeah, and the Charlie Kirk gentleman trial, they've already asked the state legislature for $12 million more for the defense going into next year.
