I don't think it was, "Oh, we have to, you know, we have to give them a, a really good reason because we can't trust them to see the complexity." I think they knew it won't be good enough to justify sending their children into a war zone to die because we don't like the mess we left.

And I think what frustrates me so much about this generation of leadership, and I'm gonna go ahead and include John McCain in this, 'cause we talked about this a little bit with him.

I don't understand.

You know, if Vietnam, if the Vietnam War had been 200 years ago and we had several generations who just don't understand what that was like and what happened, then maybe I would be able to give a little more grace.

I wanna know all that happened on September 11, the before, the during, and the after.

And one commission member with whom I had the privilege of spending a lot of time in the aftermath of September 11 was John Lehman, Ronald Reagan's Secretary of the Navy, a John McCain pick for the commission.

The day that Condoleezza Rice testified before the 9/11 Commission is remembered for the title of a presidential daily briefing a month before the attacks, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US." Do you remember that? That was the news cycle the day that Condoleezza Rice testified.

But something else happened that day when Secretary Lehman questioned Secretary Rice in this very brief exchange.

But let's be clear also.

Donald Trump is not an interventionist in the style of a John McCain or a Lindsey Graham.

Donald Trump, and by the way, I think the same views that I have are also what Reagan had.

He called it peace through strength.

to replace this uniparty where it doesn't matter whether you elect a Republican or a Democrat.

It seems that whatever you vote for, you get John McCain.

He's dead.

60 to 100 plus interceptors yesterday that's wild i had uh one one one else in account was talking about how a lot of these interceptors might have been the the iron dome being used by the americans as well especially for the cluster munitions it's because the iranians fired the karam shaw three missile with the clusters you saw the video with the clusters falling on the race yeah So I'm not sure if some of these are the Iron Dome.

So if you look at, I think it would be a fair assessment, although people, we don't know for sure.

But if you look at the prior three Republican nominees and president, George W. Bush and John McCain and Mitt Romney, you could make the argument that Romney didn't vote for him.

I doubt George W. Bush voted for him.

And if John McCain had been alive, I'm sure he wouldn't have voted for him.

So he didn't really have the traditional Republican support from the party in the same fashion as other nominees or presidents.

So when he came into Washington and you combine that, when he really didn't know much about it, he was bombarded.

This is not George W. Bush.

This is not George H.W. Bush.

Lindsey Graham was not on our side.

He was John McCain's buddy.

He hated Trump until Trump won.

Then he became Trump's best buddy and hung out with him at golf courses.

She got the message and she brought all these teenagers and now they're older.

I even saw McCain.

I'm not kidding.

McCain was in South Carolina with these 16 year olds.

It was like at a high school gym.

The guys had a look on their face like, can we get out of this if we have wrestling practice?

But like, God forbid she mentioned that Obama was like young and good looking at the time.

And the crowd kind of laughs at that because he's not even really doing jokes here.

So if you look at, I think it would be a fair assessment, although people, we don't know for sure.
