But Andrews, you know, I was looking at the news this week and I was noticing something really broken.

This past week, and this is no hype, this past week, some of the biggest stories in AI in 2026 just happened.

And I'm calling this AI week because two big breakthroughs were announced this week.
All right, now this is interesting.
Well, this must be a great thing, right? The company says GPT-6 Astra is a state-of-the-art technology on things like software engineering and cybersecurity.
That is a major headline.
To explain why, let's bring in Maria Curie.
Maria, good morning and welcome.
How powerful is Astra compared to the previous AI models? And is this

really the arrival of AGI? I think one shorthand way to think of AGI would be if you give a model a task that a human would be good at, that the model wasn't particularly trained on, and it still achieves that task and perhaps achieves it better than a human, that seems to be the definition they're going for for AGI here.
So this is really a turning point in the technology and what artificial general intelligence means is a point that is debated among researchers, but by OpenAI's definition, which essentially means that it can perform tasks that are economically valuable at a human level or above, this can be considered the start of artificial general intelligence.
And you have other heavy hitters in the industry like NVIDIA's Jensen Huang saying that is the case as well.
In addition to this reaching artificial general intelligence, according to some in the industry, this is also the first model that OpenAI has released to the public that reaches critical capability, which is the highest threat level for cybersecurity.
So we're kind of
