Cherry Creek's Trust Poll, Propositions 133 to 135, Armed Security in Schools, and the Race for Governor

Let's see, let's get in here because we are so jammed up today.

Our word of the day is abscond.

It's A-B-S-C-O.

It could be to depart in a sudden and secret manner.

I would say that the Democrat Socialists of America, these radical activists that have taken over the Democrat Party, have absconded the principles of of our American founding.

So that's number one.

Number two, to avoid capture and legal prosecution.

Or number three, to hide or stow away.

Our quote of the day is from the Medal of Honor quote book from the Center for American Values.

And I'd recommend that you have the hard copy in your Freedom Library at home.

And you can get that by ordering it at AmericanValueCenter.org.

The center is located in Pueblo, focused on these foundational principles of honor, integrity, and patriotism.

And so every Friday we do a quote from the Medal of Honor quote book.

And this is from...

This is from...

Van T. Barfoot, United States Army Medal of Honor recipient.

This is the citation.

And he was born in, oh, I didn't pull that.

So never mind on that.

So this is his citation.

It's for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty.

On 23 May 1944 near Carano, Italy, with his platoon heavily engaged during an assault against forces well entrenched on commanding ground, 2nd Lieutenant Barfoot, then Technical Sergeant, moved off alone upon the enemy left flank.

He crawled to the proximity of one machine gun nest and made a direct hit on it with a hand grenade, killing two and wounding three Germans.

He continued along the German defense line to another machine gun emplacement and with his Tommy gun killed two and captured three soldiers.

Members of another enemy machine gun crew then abandoned their position and gave themselves up to Sergeant Barfoot.
