And then legal counsel, also those many times that can be contracted out or they can be employees of the district.
Kim MonsonHOST
15:12
How is that working for Cherry Creek? Is it contracted out or is this an employee of the Cherry Creek School District?
Molly LamarGUEST
15:20
Our legal counsel is an employee who has a contract with You know, she's been receiving crazy amounts of money, um, uh, a car allowance.

Axios looked at one school, uh, outside of Denver, the Cherry Creek Public Schools.
Jill WagnerHOST

Mosheh OinounouHOST

Patrick HogartyHOST

They're here to push their political agenda, push us off a cliff so that they maintain control.
Patrick HogartyHOST
66:13
That is what the Cherry Creek School District is.
Patrick HogartyHOST
66:15
They are an insulated cartel that runs their organization that way.
Patrick HogartyHOST
66:19
Have you ever heard of a school district where a superintendent has been brought up, has been brought up, accusing of creating a hostile work environment, telling people, it's my way or get the fuck out of the way.
Patrick HogartyHOST
66:34
He was protected by the school board for one year.
Patrick HogartyHOST
66:38
And then when news broke, he resigned.
Patrick HogartyHOST
66:42
And then what did the school board do instead of withholding his pay, withholding his benefits? and making sure that money was used to help the taxpayers and the Cherry Creek School District students, school community, what'd they do instead? Because they have grounds to fire him and make sure he doesn't get in here.
Patrick HogartyHOST
66:58
What'd they do? Said, no, Chris, thank you.
Jimmy SengenbergerHOST

Jimmy SengenbergerHOST
19:59
Had revelations that drove a recent slew of top-level resignations in Cherry Creek Schools surfaced in 2024, maybe voters might not have handed Cherry Creek more money.
Jimmy SengenbergerHOST
20:12
This year, with everything I'm laying out, and there's so much more we could spend the s- multiple shows just going over the nonsense and BS happening in Denver and JeffCo Schools, voters in those districts should spare themselves the same regret of voters in Cherry Creek Schools.
Lori GimelshteynGUEST
33:45
And just as you mentioned, there's an exodus out of the public school.
Lori GimelshteynGUEST
33:48
We're talking tens of thousands of of students um just recently I was doing a some investigative work into the Cherry Creek School District that you know continues to purport that they have they're serving 53 000 students back in 2021 when we removed our child our youngest out of Cherry Creek The numbers went from 57,000 down to about 53,000, and they're still saying they're serving about 53,000.
Lori GimelshteynGUEST
34:15
But if you take a look at their financials, they're serving about 47,000 students.
Lori GimelshteynGUEST
34:19
So they're not even being transparent with the public about the number of students that they're serving.

Running the Colorado Parent Advocacy Network, if you would have told me back in 2022 that it would come down to lawsuits, I would have thought that that would be crazy.
Lori GimelshteynGUEST
43:59
Because when I launched this organization, because of what was happening to my children in the Cherry Creek School District, I thought, my goodness, if people just know what's happening, they'll stand up to stop it.
Lori GimelshteynGUEST
44:13
But that didn't happen.

Patty CalhounPANELIST
22:25
You see it in Jeffco, where they've had big problems, in the Cherry Creek School District, where we continue to find out how much they've spent.
Patty CalhounPANELIST
22:33
And at the DPS, though, I would say maybe $1,000 might be a good payment right now if they can deal with the contract in advance, have an outside group do it instead of have a conflict within the DPS.
