So let's get into, uh, what you're hearing about the workouts, who's in town and you know, what the vibe is around the team right now.
So, I mean, most of the team gym has been in town since the start of September and they've been working out daily together.
This, this, you know, in the last probably four or five days, people are really excited to see him.
Um, being here and i will tell you like i do not remember a time with covering this team where this many players were in this early plane and um i had a chance just to bump into jade mcdaniels the other day for just a few minutes and and we were chatting and one thing that he told me that was i thought really interesting is like he said that these workouts have been ultra competitive um that They're kind of setting up a little tournament-style competition between everyone.
I've heard that Ayo Dasunmu is really kind of using his voice in these things to really dial up the intensity a lot.
But it doesn't mean that they're going to win a championship this year, but I do think that it does show that everyone understands that that they were leaving meat on the bone kind of in summer's past.
We heard a lot about Nas and Jaden and how they would get together in the summer and work out a lot.
And we've seen Anthony Edwards kind of lead the charge in organizing those a lot.
But it all speaks to, I think, an urgency that I didn't really feel going into last season with this group.
I think last season we thought that the continuity involved was going to really be a benefit for them and carry them into the season.
And now with some of the changes that have been made and I think the, you know, the step back that they took last year, I do think that this group says, Hey man, we've got to be more locked in.
And they have been very locked in here in September leading into training camp.
