Work - Life Balance

Manitoba Hydro used to let employees work from home on Wednesdays.

They now have to go back on Wednesdays.

And I wanted to have this discussion because Ben Mulroney did this on a segment a couple of months ago where he basically on his show had listeners from across Canada call in and sort of say why they shouldn't have to go back to work.

I've done a little research on this.

I've looked into it.

I see both avenues of it.

I see how a downtown needs to survive and needs tax revenue and needs businesses to have people work downtown and get all the revenue coming in from whether it's a coffee or lunch or what have you parking, everything like that.

I understand that.

I also understand in this day and age of mental health awareness and getting the most out of employees and having that work-life balance being more important than ever, and I really believe in that, why working at home one or two days a week isn't that bad.

So we bring in from the Director of Permanent Placement Services at Robert Half, Cal Youngworth, who's going to discuss this with us.
