The Prime Minister spoke about Bill C-9.

Bill C-9 added to the criminal code, specifically to its sections related to hate crime.

That was welcome news, but it is a drop in the bucket.

The Prime Minister also spoke of additional funding to secure Jewish institutions.

That funding was a drop in the bucket and has not materially impacted the ability of the Jewish community to secure itself.

The Jewish community urgently needs additional resources to ensure the security of our communal infrastructure, whether that be increased funding, whether that be an increased capacity for law enforcement, or whether that be the ability to have armed private security on our premises.
