What is really going wrong at Ferrari?

In the summer break, he did a bit of boxing and he apparently hurt his wrist while boxing.

I've got no reason to suspect otherwise.

He's back this weekend in Baku and he said that the new contract extension he's got doesn't have any caveats in it saying he can't do anything in the future.

But other drivers such as Charles Leclerc has come out and said, well, actually, we're not allowed to go skydiving and skiing and they're probably not a good idea.

Andrew, from your point of view, what do you think about the fact that these contracts have these stipulations or so we're told? Or some don't, obviously, because Lewis Hamilton is quite a keen skydiver.

Is it fair? Is it right? I mean, given the sums of money that the teams pay these drivers?

Well, first of all, let's just clear up what happened.

He did break his wrist while he was boxing as part of his general training program.

That's 100% facts.

Red Bull have confirmed that.

And I had it actually found it out before Red Bull admitted it publicly.

It's kind of like the outside of his wrist where it's broken.

A little bit like an injury that my son did to himself playing rugby, actually, by the way, earlier this year.

And I don't think there was any question that he'd done anything wrong contractually.

That was just part of his training program.

And you can see why.

Boxing is obviously good for strength and also good for aerobic training.

So why wouldn't he do that? He now says he'll be more careful.

Formula One teams to have some level of restriction in driver contracts.

Obviously, as you say, they do pay the drivers a lot of money.

So there's a sort of sliding scale of risk of what they're allowed to do.
