The news information gathering that people do, most normal people do, is so obviously not focused on the New York Times and NPR anymore.

It just seems – and we also have examples of some really successful – experiments in the past.

I think about Report for America, which is probably 10 years old at this point, which has bridged a different kind of gap.

Are there other folks out there who are sort of fellow travelers in this and trying to help creators and newsrooms understand each other to help support creators? Or is NCC the only one?
There are definitely other organizations that are working to bridge that gap.
Our focus has really been on training creators in these reporting and fact-checking principles and building that infrastructure.
There are quite a few organizations that are, I would say more of their focus is on that bridge building and connecting creators and newsrooms together.

So these are two different distinct endeavors, right? One is to support the creators and the infrastructure help that they need.

You're doing a little bit of both, but you're mostly working with the creators.
