Duncan GoldbergHostwell i will say dunk i think when the season ended um it was pretty obvious to me that there was going to be two names that that left the timberwolves um I personally thought it would be two of three, Julius, Rudy, or Jaden, just because of the trade value that Jaden has.
But that kind of got flipped on me, and that turned into Nas Reed and Julius, which I'm not surprised.
I think, you know, as Bulls fans, we kind of knew Julius Randle wasn't going to be a part of this roster moving forward.
I think just with the way this team needed to go, it just didn't make sense for him to kind of be a part of it moving forward.
And I highlighted it throughout, whether it was K-Fan or some of the other podcasts I do.
I think it's an opportunity for LaMelo to kind of just, like, have a reset, right? Like, he wasn't really competing for anything in Charlotte.
Now, they looked pretty good kind of to end the season last year, and LaMelo was playing at a very high level alongside Conn Knipple, but... um they weren't in positions where they were competing for anything meaningful and now here he is kind of you know he's got his feet wet in his career he's played enough years now um you know he's dealt with a little bit of injuries here and there but now he gets to come in and play alongside you know the best shooting guard in the nba and actually compete um you know for meaningful games and and into the playoffs so like That fires me up because I think at LaMelo's top, at his ceiling, he's a top five point guard in the NBA.
And I think there's going to be a couple of things here and there where like shot selection just needs to be, you know, just a little bit more solid.
But I think that also comes with the knowledge of like, hey, I'm playing for something a little bit more meaningful here.

I know people love to live on this hill of like, LaMelo's going to take a 40-footer.
