Okay, me personally, I don't think I would really hesitate that much to include Ron Holland in... trade package maybe he needs a change of scenery but this guy was also Trajan Langdon's first pick like it's kind of his guy I mean I feel like he would probably be open to swallowing a mistake if he sees it as that my biggest issue with it is like the things that we're seeing with Ron Holland right now are the same things that were concerns for him coming into the draft and when he had all this ball handling responsibility with G League Ignite, just a little frenetic at times, had issues with turnovers, wasn't a good decision maker.

And I feel like you're still seeing that.

Obviously, the shot hasn't... come along as we wanted to, so those two things mixed together are sort of a tough pill to swallow.

JK didn't play any.

He played on a joke of a G League Ignite team and had super inefficient numbers, like incredibly inefficient numbers.

He wasn't being coached up like Yaxel is and how Yaxel got a dough trial and error, even in college.

trial and error through June three years in junior college through being, being the man at UAB and just powering through guys in the American conference and then being coached by a really good coach and dusty may and being, okay, now you're a three and you're going to learn how to shoot three pointers.

But it's that you're missing something that, you know, equates to why you impact our team so much that we should keep you around.

Those are the two examples of players where it's like, you know, patience is... a part of it and I think especially with you know the Rockets they were quite patient with Jalen Greenham for what he was but unfortunately that probably started from when he was with what G League Ignite instead of going to college Ken Porter Jr I think he went to USC if I'm not mistaken probably stayed there for not long enough as I said earlier they develop habits and they develop these mindsets that they unfortunately can't shake so then when it's now time to find a role for them in the NBA can't really do it to the highest of their abilities because they're still stuck in that I can go get a bucket kind of mindset you know so up to these teams to try and get that kind of thinking out of them and actually mould them into something but as we can see much easier said than done

I mean, because they're almost playing a role where they want to be the first option, you know, primary scorer.

But they're much better players in that sort of position, in your Lucas and your Shays and your Anthony Edwards and all of these guys, Donovan Mitchells.

And he took a straight line drive, hit his patented Euro and, um, finish right over, I think it was Jovic.

But I remember, Wes, you and I talked about this a couple back of like, hey, Ron was basically running point guard at I almost called it, oh, it is G League Ignite.

I'm getting Overtime Elite confused with G League Ignite.

So maybe he does have a little of that in him.

And if from an increased role standpoint, if you got to rely on somebody, why not give Ron a few more opportunities and see what he can do with the ball in his hands? Because frankly, we really haven't seen a ton of that.

I mean, he started with, what, G League Ignite? And then, you know, had his time in the G League.

With the Spurs.

I just looked because, you know, he's been in the league for a minute.

And maybe because we remember from G League Ignite 2.

Yeah.

After his withdrawal from Providence, he averaged 16.4 points, 6.7 boards, and 4 assists last season in the G League.

He was the youngest Pro USA player ever when he signed with the G League Ignite in 2023.

He was 17 years old.

By the way, multiple NBA insiders have confirmed this move by New York.

But now that that's out of the cards, he is returning back home to the Westchester Knicks.

New York has a very good piece for the future.

Dink Pate, being only 20, has already accumulated considerable professional experience since joining the G League Ignite program in 2023 at just 17 years old.

After spending 2024-2025 campaign with the Mexico City Capitanes, the versatile guard joined the Knicks organization following the 2025 NBA draft.

A- and the thing is, it's, it's, it stands out more because, like, the expectation was this, this guy would be able to turn into something offensively.

Like, I think based off what we saw in the, you know, in the, the one season he spent with the G League Ignite, like, there was a lot more focus on his offensive game at that point in his career than it was his defensive game.

And obviously what he's able to do defensively is awesome, like that's great, but I, I just don't know if the Pistons are, are gonna commit to him a- a- and, and give him all his minutes, and then potentially money when as of now I just haven't seen tangible growth on the offensive end.

Like, and it's not just the outside shot.
