So I was in 2020 working on the Bernie primary with DSA in the Bay Area, which DSA had such a strong presence in the Bay Area that the national campaign was like, we're actually not even going to bother setting up an office in, I think, And I think they didn't do one in San Francisco, Berkeley, or Oakland.

i never really i didn't listen to it either but i was aware of their stuff and listened to a little bit the fact that they were there anyway felt like a huge fucking deal because it's just like these dudes are you know, there's not that many voices of the left, particularly in pre, I guess it was pre COVID 2020. was it even 2019 i guess it would have been 2019 because of the primary yeah um and they're like driving around oakland with a truck with a huge loudspeaker over it like saying like vote for bernie so that the billionaires won't suck your blood and all this like crazy and they have a giant like it's not like a pinata but it looks like a giant pinata of bernie that they're gallivanting around and it's like you know it's going viral and i'm like I'm going to see them tonight, but I'm still knocking doors all day.
