Episode 1,429: Washington Commanders commit all-time blunder in 27-all tie vs. New York Giants and more

One of the limited

partners in the Washington Commanders Ownership Group, the Josh Harris Group, is Los Angeles Lakers legend Irvin Magic Johnson.

Magic Johnson, as you may know, likes to post stuff on X.

He on Sunday evening posted this, quote, I'm in total disbelief my commanders had such poor clock management in today's overtime game against the Giants.

All we had to do was kick the field goal and we would have won the game, exclamation mark, end quote.

Magic Johnson, not happy.

Magic, we are with you, my friend.

Trust me.

The Washington Commanders in the NFL's 2026 regular season have moved to being 1-3-1, a 27-all tie with the New York Giants at a rainy Northwest Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

This was a game in which Washington blew.

a 27-13 fourth quarter lead.

This is the second tie for Washington against the Giants over the last five regular seasons.

December 4th, 2022, the Washington Commanders in the 2022 regular season moved to being 7-5-1 with a 20-all tie at the New York Giants.

There are many times in life that something is over before it actually officially is over.

This happens with jobs.

This happens with relationships.

This happens with a lot of things.

The thing essentially is over at a certain point and then is officially over at a later point.

Dan Quinn's tenure as Washington head coach ended with this game.

When he'll actually get fired, who knows? But his tenure effectively ended with this game.

Now, understand, I am and always will be a fan of the Washington Commanders franchise, whatever the name of the team is.

I would love for Dan Quinn to turn his tenure around.

I am rooting for Dan Quinn to turn his tenure around.

Maybe he somehow, someway does turn his tenure around.

But right now, at this point in time, Dan Quinn as Washington head coach is not working.
